HOWARD COUNTY SECONDARY ROADS Job Opening:

Truck Driver to work out of the Schley Shop.

Successful candidate will be trained by staff and would be expected to perform work involving the operation of a dump truck as well as a variety of other equipment and the ability to perform heavy manual labor. Successful candidate will perform all road maintenance duties as directed by the Howard County Engineer’s Office. 

Experience and knowledge of the practices, principles, materials, and equipment used in road, bridge, and culvert construction and maintenance is desired.

Successful candidate must possess a valid Class-B Commercial Driver’s License with manual transmission from the State of Iowa.

Motorgrader Operator to work out of the Elma Shop.

Successful candidates will be trained by staff and would be expected to perform work involving the operation of a motorgrader as well as a variety of other equipment and the ability to perform heavy manual labor. Successful candidate will perform all road maintenance duties as directed by the Howard County Engineer’s Office. Experience and knowledge of the practices, principles, materials, and equipment used in road, bridge, and culvert construction and maintenance is desired. Successful candidate must possess a valid Class-B Commercial Driver’s License with manual transmission from the State of Iowa.
